The parent body, the International Brotherhood of Magicians, was founded in 1922 by Len Vintus, Gene Gordon and Don Rogers. It is governed by elected officers and a board of trustees, and is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Full members of the parent body receive The Linking Ring monthly — a publication of around 180 pages featuring tricks, reviews, Ring reports, historical articles, and advertisements from magic dealers around the world.
